Nope, XUL and IE dont really like eachother ;-)  This is not a fix, 
but just a measure for me to be able to continue. The problems with 
the XUL theme are larger than just the base dir :-)

FYI, the xul theme should probably use the xml:base attribute 
somewhere, but i havent dived in yet.
