I wouldnt worry too much.
I have a PN 714 site (which will move to xaraya when ive worked out what
to do with the gallery and phpwiki sections) that gets over 110,000 page
views a month and it doesnt seem to have any problems.
My advantage is that its an intranet site and so network bandwidth is a
little better - gigabit fibre :-)

From my totally unscientific experiments xaraya is much better
performance wise than postnuke was. The only slight problem I noticed
was the fact that if i enabled every single module that exists for
xaraya at once and enabled all cross module hooks then I had to up the
max memory limit in php from 8Mb to about 12 or so.
But the code has been optimised since then and the chances of anyone
wanting to do the sick things i do is rather slight :-)
Once some of the major bug testing is finished then there might be a
chance for some performance work.
