Which part of London do you want to be in? - The more central you go in London the more expensive it is. If you dont plan on being at a hotel that much consider what we call a 'Bed and Breakfast' or B&B Should be obvious what they entail - certainly no frills. Nice thing is B&Bs are alot cheaper than hotels.
