Naturally you would want to limit the script using some sort of timestamp,
so you don't get 1000 e-mails when Google visits 1000 pages in one session,
but it's an interesting idea.

Personally though, I would prefer to log the hits somewhere, and have a
summary report sent out, covering all spiders (and users) that may have
visited the site that day.
