The recent thread on angels reminded me of a book I read a couple years ago, but could not find when I searched amazon.com. It was about an angel that was cast out of heaven when some angels raised the war in heaven, separated from his celestial brother, and marooned on earth in prehistoric times. He proceeds to sail around the world, build an empire through high stakes gambling by the 20th century, smoke cigars, find out vampires are the bastard creation of other cast out angels, look for his brother and attempt to return to heaven. It was not a particularly great story, as it had an incomplete ending that set the stage for the next book in the series and the whole premise had serious plot holes (like this guy having to crap a bowling ball out once a month, and I think the sun burned him). However, I can't remember the name and it is driving me mad! If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. If you have read any good books lately, please share! I am currently looking for Stephen Hawkins Brief History of Time at my local used bookstore. -- Have Fun!
