You wont see anything happening. Have you opened up mspaint and tried 
edit/paste ?

I'm not sure about the actual key combo, but that is left as an 
excercise to the reader ;-) shift is involved at least, not sure about 
the alt. May also be control or nothing, dont remember.

At least on xp i've used this lots, but i've never seen it documented 
anywhere.
