Yes, I remember the PRintScreen adn ALT-PrintScreen too :) Very handy except it saves as a bitmap image which is a little large for me to use in most instances. So, I suggested the print screen application as it allows you to define any area of the screen (making your file smaller possibly), and you have the option to save the resulting bitmap directly as .png, .gif .jpg etc without opening a larger image editing program. I find it handy when i have to do a lot of screenshots and I can save quickly in tidy small files ready for uploading. Of course, there are many similar programs around, one of which may suit your needs better.
