Hello! At 6:54am on January 2nd, 2006, Acadia Beatrice Lynch-Raymond entered our world, weighing 7lbs 9oz and measuring approximately 20 inches. The journey was not easy, as Maura Jo labored for over 24 hours at home, before needing to have the final three pushes at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden, CT. Complications with Acadia's umbilical cord resulted in a trip to the hospital, something we tried to avoid. Both Maura Jo and Acadia are doing great and have no ill effects as a result of the long and often intense labor. Maura Jo delivered Acadia via natural childbirth without the interventions of "medical" science. She's a strong and awesome woman! A big thanks to our midwives, who's professionalism, calm and wisdom made the birth of our daughter a wonderful event. Photo Gallery: http://lynch-raymond.com/gallery2/v/acadia/ -- Roger Raymond
