Remove and detach are both applicable words, it comes down to the 
subtleties of connotation.  I don't really have a preference, as long as 
the word describes the destruction of a relationshhip, not the 
destruction of data.

It could apply to the user-group relationship also, or any parent-child 
relationship, like category trees.

If "+" is acceptable or proper for add, I think "-" is the correct 
corollary.  I did add a separate icon for delete.
