For the time being, here is what you can do.

Syndicate from your own site from the particular category or pubtype that
you want.  Then simply use the headlines block to push it back out.  It's a
little kludgy, but I haven't had a chance to do a direct block, and I am not
sure if it is on Mike's radar.

The nice part about this is you are cache'ing the result, so it saves the
look-up to the db.
