That test went swimmingly!  All my users, FAQs, articles, comments and
sections have been imported very nicely.  I kinda miss my polls, but I'll
deal. :)

As Mike reccomended, I tried the following:
- cleared xar_* tables from DB
- renamed user with UID 2 (datavortex) to "Admin" in pn_users
- Turned register_globals off in php.ini
- ran install.php, installed community site with admin user "Admin"
- install/init in order: categories, comments, hitcount, ratings, articles
- run import8.php while still logged in

 -= import8.php completed all steps with no errors. =- 

I have verified that all the data looks good (if a little confusing for a 
newbie), articles formatted correctly, categories imported, etc.
