The Xaraya Project announces the release of Xaraya 2.0.0

Xaraya 2.0.0 is the successor to the Xaraya project's successful 1x
series. With it the project embarks on a new direction. Xaraya 2.0.0 is
not a release of incremental improvements, but a totally new product.
Our aim has been to take the best of the 1.x series and create an
innovative new framework. Based on the same fundamental concepts,
nonetheless Xaraya 2.0.0 is differnt on the outside and on the inside.

More Powerful

- The Xaraya 2.0.0 core sports useful new functionality, such as module
item variables, tree classes, improved variable typing extensive
caching and more, giving module developers and themers more and better
tools.
- The BlockLayout compiler has been completely rewritten as an XSL based
templating engine, resulting in tighter code and higher performance.
- Dynamicdata has been made faster and better, and now includes (among
other things) object hooks and object UI handlers.
- Xaraya 2.0.0 disposes of a large and highly configurable set of
Dynamicdata properties that can be used to create complex data objects
or standalone widgets.

More Solid

- The entire core has been rewritten to make extensive use of the PHP5
language's improvements in OO and its SPL library classes.
- With a consistent approach throughout the framework, the core code has
been made tighter and reduced by about 20% compared to the 1.x series.
- More extensive reuse of core code throughout increases stability and
reliability, and makes testing easier..
- Xaraya 2.0.0's BlockLayout compiler ensures XML conform, browser
friendly output every time.
- Core module configurations have been given a standard layout and options.

More User Friendly

- Xaraya 2.0.0 makes a clear visual and layout distinction between front
and back end interfaces
- We have improved the user interface of the core modules to make it
easier for administrators to manage sites efficiently.
- PHP exceptions have been replaced with friendly user error screens;
403 and 404 errors display friendly pages
- Consistent documentation overviews for all core modules are part of
the package.
- The Dynamicdata interface for creating and checking objects has been
improved, making it much easier to create, debug and deploy dataobjects.
- The installer module has been made smarter and more verbose, making
installation clearer and less prone to errors.
