Rendering bug with zoom images (since 2.10.4-18, when f_zoom_image.dtml was removed)

Since f_zoom_image.dtml was removed in 2.10.4-18, we're running into
problems with the zoom view (popup view) of images:

Traditionally, popup images filled up the popup window without any border.
Since 2.10.4-18, there's a white border around the images in the popup
window.

Depending on the browser, the image is either scaled down a little bit
(in Firefox), or the rightmost and bottom parts of the image are cropped
(cf. attached screenshot from MSIE 6.0).
