Access-Table in Content-Objects Configuration ???

Can please someone explain to me how the Access-Table in Content-Objects
Configuration should work? Especially the "Node" column. It's intention
might be to set places where objects of one kind can be applied. But how
does it work? Can you tell me about the syntax?
