Problems with multilingual search

Dear List, I have come across a strange phenomena with catalog search in a multilingual site. portalMaster holds all the templates, objects and language dictionary. there are also several languages configured (ger, fra, eng, ...) search_portal_clients is activated In one zms-client with primary language ger search works as aspected... in all other zms-clients with different primary language (fra, eng, ...) there are no results at all ! the catalogs of all the clients are full of items - so indexing works the search template is the same for all clients does someone knows about such a problem?
