you have to declare the meta_type of the required content objects - i.e. if 
you want to look for all objects "on" the page(s) you have to filter against 
the meta_types PAGEELEMENTS (instead of "PAGES" or all).

example:

<dtml-in "getChildNodes(REQUEST,PAGEELEMENTS)">
   <dtml-var id>
  <br />
  </dtml-in>

Please be aware that most "content" objects of type PAGEELEMENTS has no 
"title" (makes no sense for the most of them) - this is why i used "id" 
instead for this example here.
