Ok - many thanks for this hint,
so i tried to update and create several new ZMS2-2.13.0b1.1224 instances with 
the Gallery object - but i get a new problem with extedit (from Gallery and 
extedit byself).

If i install 3.1.4, 3.1.6 or 3.1.7 within such a ZMS instance i can use the 
Gallery and use the import auto crop mechanism - tried to install it from 
remote (as a config package) and in parts from trac or older working 
instances. Tried to clean out older stuff too from i.e. ZMS_ROOT, 
metaobj_manager, Special_Objects before new installations too.

I've set workspace_width and workspace_width_max on the ZMS node and on 
ZMS_ROOT as properties (can't see where it should come from otherwise).


But i always get the following effects:

1.) ZMSGraph_extedit
If i cklick "edit image" on any image (with superres image available) i get 
the usual extedit screen, but with a empty preview field. If i try to select 
any preview segment (and click on green arrow) nothing happens within the 
preview field. If i save it nothing changes. But if i try to swap / flip / 
rotate the image this would not shown WYSIWYG as usual, but after saving the 
image is rotated or flipped. Eben dropping shadow works this wise - the shadow 
get shown after saving the image. Crazy...

2.) ZMSGallery
I can mass import (ZIP archive import) images as usual and select the preview 
rectangles as usual. If i cklick save after selecting all rectangles the 
images got saved, but the preview is not cropped as selected.

Tried too to work with a installed ZMSGraph_extedit only - even in different 
versions - same effect.

temp_folder seems to work as in working instances (except that there are only 
two image objects generated when i open the graphic_extedit instead of three 
within older instances. I've checked all the HTML output of the edit screens 
if all JS stuff could be loaded which seems OK too.

I've seen that older (working) installations work with "preview" within the 
image / temp_folder image pathes part and the newer ones use the ZMS own 
"thumbnail" part within filenames - not shure if that is related to this?

The new ZMS image resize functionality within 2.13.0b1.1224 seems to work 
properly.

Many thanks for any help as this Gallery stuff seems o be "Important" to many 
end users.

btw:
On several end user requests i did some advances on the media player 
(Videoplayer / Audioplayer) object - i.e. configurable content floating (as on 
the image object or a easier audio player (as in the past)). If this helps i 
would post / publish this to the project and/or here.
