If this is important i will try to search again tomorrow how i did it, but afair i solved it by using Zope 2.12 with ZMS 2.13 and installing PIL before (not shure how far PIL is important for this zmsgraphics prob.

For upgrading older ZMS versions up to 2.12 i use the version path as discussed here on list some time ago and build like a "upgrade chain" with that different ZMS major step versions.

A downgrading processing to older ZMS versions is afaik not implemented in ZMS but possible in "some" cases where objects are backward compatible it works, but might by a bad idea in general. Usually it is the best idea to hold any working old instance as long as the upgraded one is not tested very well in detail.
