We don't have a way to access the Lazarus forum from the main page, so there is no way to make it “livlier” that way. And for news: I prefer to spend the time coding instead of trying to think up something that might be useful news for the community. That's also a difference between mikrocontroller.net and Free Pascal: the former is simply a community of enthusiastic users. We don't for the forum and for the website we have static pages to reduce maintainenace.
