I've switched back to Xcode 7 (because fink objected when I tried
to install a program).

% build-gpc.command
...
chmod 755 ../fixinc.sh
The directory that should contain system headers does not exist:
  /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.10.sdk///usr/include
make[2]: *** [stmp-fixinc] Error 1
make[1]: *** [stage1_build] Error 2
make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2
