I wish you luck.  I've had to give up on GPC because it fails to
compile on MacOS.  I think this neglect means that GPC is going to go
defunct on all platforms.  In contrast, the community of the Free
Pascal Compiler (FPC) is alive but I still can't compile there.  I can
offer you translation to C:
https://alum.mit.edu/www/toms/pascalp2c.html Unfortunately it does not
do syntax checking and so can produce bad binaries.  I currently use
FPC to check syntax and if that works, then translate and compile in
C.
