Remoting.Corba has a BSD/MIT-style license.  You are welcome to do whatever
you want with it.

Remoting.Corba took me about a week and a half to put together.  I will
probably not be working on it very intensively for a while--it depends on
how much interest there is in it from other people.  I plan to put it on
SourceForge to make it easier to collaborate.

I agree that a common mapping would be useful.  Some interoperability tests
between our implementations would be useful as well.

Regarding an IDL compiler, it would be nice if it didn't require Java.  I
haven't looked much at ANTLR.  Do you know whether it is possible to build
it with Visual J# .NET?

A "super-project" may be useful, but I'd like to see what kind of interest
there is from users.  I've found that "CORBA people" tend to hate .NET (and
anything else related to Microsoft), and that ".NET people" think CORBA is
too complicated.  So there's the danger that a big project that intends to
merge .NET and CORBA will just be disliked and bad-mouthed by a lot of
people.

I've received e-mails from people with the Mono project and an interviewer
from DotNetGuru.com.  I've mentioned Harmless in my responses to them.  I
agree that it would help increase visibility if we can keep our projects
linked in peoples' minds.
