JacORB 1.4 GA is available.

Freie Universität Berlin and XTRADYNE Technologies are pleased to
announce general availability of JacORB 1.4, the free Java ORB.
JacORB 1.4 can be downloaded from our usual web site at
http://www.jacorb.org .


What's new in 1.4 GA (since beta 4):

- extended OBV support

- improved Implementation Repository fail-over

- includes Appligator (applet support)

- added more configuration options (e.g., client side port
   ranges for coexistence with firewalls, easier corbaloc:
   handling, etc.)

- closer alignment to newer IDL/Java RTF

- *many* bug fixes, enhancements and quality improvements

- improved documentation

- deprecated proprietary domain managament service
