8K Limit in the buffer to upload files

Hello,

I find an 8K limit for the size of the buffer that i'm sendinf to my
obj->write ( s, stream);

i found it out going down in the number by trial and error.

I'm on a Mac implementation.

Is there a way to increase the buffer size ?
