omniORB3 and omniORB4 compatibility

Hi guys,
We have some applications using omniORB3 to communicate. We want to migrate
only one of them from VC6 to VC8 so we had to use omniORB4 for this migrated
application.
My question is: Will this cause a problem? will there be a communication
problem with applications using omniORB3 and those using omniORB4?
