Thank you for your reply. The problem was a linking problem. When I added
to my linker command the following objects:
- CosLifeCycleSK.obj
- EventChannelAdminSK.obj
- CosEventChannelAdminSK.obj
- CosEventCommSK.obj
all has gone right.

Hi there,
My guess is, that the object reference registered in the
name service is a stale reference, and the exception, you
are getting is CORBA::TRANSIENT. The narrow operation
causes the orb to try and establish a connection to an
old instance of OmniEvents, which obviously fails. Its
worth a check;)
