about not realse closed connection

hello, i am using ob4.0.5 in a very low rate link with windows2000 and ethernet network(there is a 10kbps link in the whole ethernet link). because of poor link,the request is often timeout . through debugging, i find that after client have invoked ::closesocket(), server still receive data from that connection, that is to say ::recv() donnot detect the connection invalid. and using netstat can find many active connections, all are ESTABLISED,why?????? who can explain this problem? and is there a kind of method to clear TCP/IP cache in windows2000?? in our example, clear client side's cache of that invalid connection???? thanks.
