Dear friedns,
it has been a long time since my last post to this list. I am the author of Mao's CORBA Browser that enables Interface Repository based fun for CORBA fans and users. The browser was listed as an ORBacus extension and was available from a free server, which does not exist any more (or, to be more precise, it now offers adult content).
Recently, I decided to "revive" the browser and make it available again. The current server is a reliable one, which I have been using for many years. Despite I do not develop the browser any more (i.e., I do not add new features), as I switched my focus from CORBA, everything seems to work fine with ORBacus 4.2.0. I must say that I had only minor problems (due to fact JDK 1.3 is required) and that all works as well as 4 years ago, with no changes.
Main browser features:
- IDL Decompiler
- Object Editor
- Context Editor
- Dynamic Invocation Editor
- IOR Editor
- Interoperable Naming Service Console
The browser is available for free, with full source code and a complex example for ORBacus. It is available from my web page at http://www.republika.pl/maom_onet/browser/.
Best regards,
Marek Malowidzki
