Hi Christian: Have you looked at using Artix to accomplish this integration? Using Artix, you can use the latest version of ORBacus and talk to Tibco natively using Rendezvous as the communication mechanism. You could also use it to integrate whatever application you are evaluating with the CORBA adapter in Tibco (or one of their other adapters). You can give me a call, and we can discuss whether ORBacus or Artix would be the best approach. J. The platform is Windows XP. Tibco announces, that only version 4.1.2 of Orbacus is supported by them. I compiled Orbacus 4.2.1 setting the version flag to 412 creating dlls files with version 412 in the filename (e.g. ob412.dll). The TIBCO Corba adapter explicitly searches for dlls with such version number in the name. I followed the Tibco instructions for installation of the Orbacus libraries and dll files. My problem: Trying to start the Corba adapter I get the error message that a procedure entry jump point (originally in German: "Prozedureinsprungpunkt") was not found in ob412.dll (the error message listed a message text with "...AcceptorConfig@POAManagerFactory@OBPortableServer@@..."). I contacted the Iona support and they answered that the reason would be that Orbacus 4.2.1 is CORBA 3.0 compliant, whereas the Tibco adapter does only support Orbacus 4.1.2 with (CORBA 2.3 compliance). I was asked to switch to the correct supported Orbacus version 4.1.2. My questions: 1. Is this answer correct or is there a different problem? 2. If the answer is correct, is it still possible to get Orbacus 4.1.2 as an evaluation or full product?
