possible deadlock in the event service?

Hi - I hope this is the right place to post this - I am using OBEA2.1
(from iona).

 

It was built for linux ppc gcc 2.95.3 (shared libs, no optimization, no
debug, no tracing, no collocated servers,  no thread pool concurrency).


 

My problem is that suddenly the event service takes 80-100% of the cpu
on my processor and starts creating new threads all over the place.  I
was able to reproduce the problem by using the obea/demo/event code.
All I did was remove the 1 second sleep from the PushServer.cpp code,
run the Server and one or two Clients, and then change the system time
by doing this

 

date 090215062005.

 

Unfortunately is does not happen every single time.  So I recompiled
with asserts and I get this

 

eeventserv: PropagatorBaseThread.c:193: PropagatorBaseThread_delay:
Assertion `jev.m_except == (0)' failed.

 

Have you seen this issue before??  Thanks in advance
