Hi, Many thanks to Frans and Manuel for their contributions. I hope they will be helpful for all to develop new impressive robots! Concerning the log file problem, as you may have noticed the result.zip is not any more available (rather, it is empty) because this file was exploding in size due to some competitors making an extensive usage of System.out.println. Hence Webots is now launched with redirecting the stdout to /dev/null... However, as Frans noticed, it might be useful to have the match supervisor comments, like who won, why (time out or knock out) max distance achieved by the robots, etc. So from today, the match supervisor comments will be stored in the result.zip file and the System.out.println produced by the competitors will be sent out to the trash (/dev/null). This will avoid filling out my hard disk and save bandwith to people downloading the result.zip file. As Frans reminded, it is always possible for competitors to store data in your personal log.txt file which is compressed into log.zip after the round has completed (or in your memory.dat file, which is not compressed and is rather intended to be re-read by the controller itself to save some state or some information acquired dynamically like learning). BTW, I saw that the reaction of Coyote was fast and efficient! He is now back to #1... How will Kimaita handle this ?... ;) -Olivier ------------------------ Yahoo!
