I see your point but would like to clarify my own. The way I see it the availablity of the GPS 
is due to an unenforced rule. It's clear from the correspondance on the mailinglist from 
the time the GPS was introduced that its purpose was to enable inclinometers only, not 
positioning. Thus it's clear that the use of the word "noisy" regarding the GPS in the 
documentation implies "unusable" rather than "minor limitation to precision". This is the 
assumption under which we have devoloped our vision system (for our not yet submitted 
robot), and to allow the GPS at this moment would de facto be an arbitrary rule change 
undoing the tactical advantage of having such a vision system (whatever this advantage 
may be). Somehow it doesn't seem fair. It's true that the GPS enables far more powerful 
abilities but it would be on the expense of realism, but more importantly, if such a rule 
change takes place it should be at the beginning of the contest, not the end.
