Hi,

if you are interested in ArgoUML module development, then have a look at this new "seed" subproject "Module Generator": http://argouml-modulegenerator.tigris.org/

The simple idea behind the project is: you make a model of your module(s), and ArgoUML just generates it for you: source code and infrastructure files. Ready to build.

The approach: use (Velocity) templates for everything that is generated. You can modify them. You can keep different sets of templates or re-generate the default template set again. And on the modeling side: ArgoUML guides you by providing a profile with all that's needed for all the features.

During my vacation, I've set up the project up to a point where it starts to become useful: it works, and some documentation on how to use it is there. You can already create modules that load profiles into ArgoUML. Other features will follow. (A module can contain many features at once. The offered features will all have a determined functionality, it is not meant to become a general purpose MDA tool.)

Please participate. Evaluate the generated files. Discuss the architecture and the implementation. Add features. And have fun with it!

Best regards,
Thomas
