Hi Bob,
It seems there are several tools for converting svn repos to git. And a
number of conversion guides as well.

I also came across a tool called sub-git which can be used to either import
or mirror an svn repo.

That said, given the dearth of commits over the past few years, I was
wondering whether importing the commit history and all the branches was
necessary, or whether a simple commit of the svn HEAD would be sufficient?
