CPM Braxis - Sr. Database Developer: Oracle 10g/RAC/DataGuard

Location: Salvador, Bahia

CPMBraxis, the largest Brazilian IT Company  seeks a Sr. Database 
Developer who will provide leadership in the design, development, 
deployment and implementation of large scale Oracle databases for 
OLTP and data warehouse applications.   Database Developer will be 
responsible of the design and construction of Oracle databases for 
Internet applications developed using Extreme Programming methods.    
In addition, the Database Developer will be responsible for design 
and development of associated applications and data warehouse 
application, including creation of metadata layers, data dictionaries 
and repositories.  Design responsibilities will include logical, 
physical, relational and dimensional database design, data migration 
strategies; application to database integration; enterprise level 
data standardization; distributed database methods and integration 
techniques amongst  heterogeneous distributed systems; client-server 
to thin client transition as related to data management.   

Responsibilities:

•	Analyze information requirements specified by the user 
community and design the data structures required to support those 
requirements, including the construction of physical databases used 
for application development.
•	Support development teams by creating or enhancing data model 
designs, including data mapping and transformation rules, data cubes, 
metadata repositories and support as required for  business 
intelligence (BI) tools used with the data warehouse. 
•	Assist in development of  XML schema and shared object models 
to ensure compatibility and consistency between enterprise XML, 
shared components and bank data models. 
•	Provide full-life cycle architectural guidance to development 
teams to ensure quality technical deliverables.
•	Serve as the subject matter expert in database design, data 
security, database performance and high-availability with Oracle 10g, 
RAC and Dataguard. 
•	Assist in defining database security policy, strategy and 
implementation tactics.

Experience Required: 
•	5+ years as a Sr. Data Base Developer in data design of high 
performance, high availability, secure OLTP application, such as on-
line trading/banking, in an Oracle RBDMS environment, using data 
modeling (ERD, Dimensional) with modeling tools (ERWIN and Rational 
Rose preferred). 
•	5+ years Oracle DBA experience and thorough knowledge of 
design criteria for optimal use of the Oracle database product..
•	3+ years development of Data Warehouse applications, 
including data cube and datamart design , use of ETL tools, OLAP 
tools and Crystal Reports or Business Objects.
•	3+ years experience with financial services applications 
related to global trading and custody, with exposure to global mutual 
funds trading and settlement preferred and heavy involvement as Data 
Base Developer or DBA.
•	Thorough knowledge of database design patterns, PL/SQL, SQL 
and XML.
•	Oracle certification is a plus.
•	English Advanced or Fluent is a must
