[Dbworld] Postdoc in Data Mining for Traffic Data Analysis

A computer science postdoc position in data mining is available at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMADA), University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark. The position is part of a project in urban traffic management and will have a focus on data mining and data visualization aspects for intelligent traffic systems.

The position is initially available for one year starting on 1 April 2017 (or soon thereafter). The position can be extended depending on the availability of external funding. The successful candidate can contribute to applications for extended funding.

The successful candidate must have a PhD degree in computer science obtained before the starting date of the position and a research record in data mining. PhD candidates about to complete will also be considered and should attach a statement from their supervisors, stating the expected PhD award date.

Fluency in English and solid programming skills are required. Experience in one or more of the following areas is an advantage:

-Intelligent traffic systems
-Data visualization
-Spatio-temporal data
-Stream data processing
