Database Group Recruitment at Institute of Computer Science and Technology (ICST) of Peking University 

The Institute of Computer Science and Technology (ICST) is a second-level organization of Peking University and the major construction unit for the national key discipline of applied computer technology. ICST offers master?s programs, doctoral programs and vibrant postdoctoral exchange centres. 
We are looking for excellent applicants, including the following positions: Research Scientist (Post doc position), Research Assistant Professor, Tenure-track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor and Researcher---tenure-track position (?Chinese National Young Thousand Talents Plan?).
1.	Job Title: Researcher---tenure-track position (?Chinese National Young Thousand Talents Plan?) 
Requirements:
	The applicant must have a PhD degree in Computer Science/ Engineering and should be under the age of 40;
	Candidates are expected to hold faculty positions in overseas universities or work at research labs of leading overseas IT companies for at least three years. 
	We expect candidates to demonstrate capability in independent research, as well as comfort in teaching.
Compensation and Benefits:
	RMB 300000-750000 (about 45000-110000 USD) per year.
	RMB 600000 (90000 USD) housing subsidy for 10 years in total. About RMB 60000 (9000 USD) per year.

2.	Job Title: Tenure-track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor
Requirements:
	The applicant must have a PhD degree in Computer Science/ Engineering and should be under the age of 40;
	We expect candidates to demonstrate capability in independent research, as well as comfort in teaching.
Compensation and Benefits:
	RMB 250000-500000 (about 38000-76000 USD) per year.
	RMB 480000 (73000 USD) housing subsidy for 10 years in total. About RMB 48000 (7300 USD) per year. 
	The salary discusses in person for excellent candidates. 

3.	Job Title: Research Assistant Professor 
Requirements:
	The applicant must have a PhD degree in Computer Science/ Engineering and should be under the age of 35;
	We expect candidates to demonstrate capability in independent research.
Compensation and Benefits:
	RMB 150000-25000 (about 23000-37000 USD) per year.
	The salary discusses in person for excellent candidates. 

4.	Job Title: Research Scientist (Post doc position) 
Requirements:
	The applicant must have a PhD degree in Computer Science/ Engineering and should be under the age of 35;
	We expect candidates to demonstrate capability in independent research.
Compensation and Benefits:
	RMB 150000-20000 (about 23000-30000 USD) per year.
	The salary discusses in person for excellent candidates.
