ERRATUM
The proceedings of EGC 2022, comprising the articles of the oral communications as well as those associated with the posters will appear in an issue of RNTI. Authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their papers for publication in a special issue of DKE.

This year, the 22nd edition of the EGC conference will take place in Blois from January 24 to 28, 2022 on the campus of the IUT de Blois, University of Tours. 

The Knowledge Extraction and Management (EGC) conference is an annual event bringing together researchers and practitioners from disciplines within the data and knowledge sciences. These disciplines include machine learning, knowledge engineering and representation, data and knowledge reasoning, data mining and analysis, information systems, databases, the semantic web. and open data, etc. 
All innovative work on these topics is welcome. 
This edition will focus on human in the loop and societal impact of data science. This theme encompasses different variants of statistical learning and knowledge and data management that take into account human behavior while ensuring explainability and fairness of decisions made by algorithms. The EGC 2022 edition wishes to highlight this theme. 

The EGC conference is an opportunity to bring together academics and industry in order to compare theoretical work and practical applications on real data and to communicate quality work, to exchange and promote the cross-fertilization of ideas, through the presentation of recent research, industrial developments and original applications.
