CALL FOR PAPERS The 14th International i* Workshop (iStarâ21) https://sites.google.com/view/istar21/home?authuser=1 Co-located with the 40TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CONCEPTUAL MODELING St. Johnâs, NL, Canada, October 18-21, 2021 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paper submission: July 9th, 2021 Author notification: August 6th, 2021 Camera-Ready submission: August 20th, 2021 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The iStar workshop series is dedicated to the discussion of concepts, methods, techniques, tools, and applications associated with i* (iStar) and related goal modelling frameworks and approaches (Tropos, GRL, â¦). The proposed iStarâ21 workshop would follow successful workshops in Trento (2002), London (2005), Recife (2008), Hammamet (2010), Trento (2011), Valencia (2013), Thessaloniki (2014), Ottawa (2015), Beijing (2016), Essen (2017), Tallinn (2018) and Salvador (2019), Zürich (2020). As with previous editions, the objective of the workshop is to provide a unique opportunity for researchers in the area to exchange ideas, compare notes, promote interactions, and forge new collaborations. Expected outcomes include the communication of early results and new ideas to fellow researchers for feedback, the identification of the current problems and promising future research directions and the fostering of awareness, collaboration and interoperability in the area of tool development. The focus of the iStar workshop series is quite specific and provides an additional forum for the conceptual modeling community to exchange the latest ideas and research on goal modeling. In line with the ER21 conference theme âConceptual Modeling in an Age of Uncertaintyâ, this edition of the iStar workshop series also seeks to explore how i* may be best applied to deal with uncertainty. For example, how to reasonably model uncertainty in i*? Can i* contributes to requirements u! ncertaint y detection? How uncertainty affects i*-based requirements analysis? Topics of Interest ------------------------------ The workshop is open to the public, the topics of interests include, but are not limited to: The role of goal modelling in uncertainty analysis Adaptive requirements-driven systems Agent-oriented systems development Business intelligence and data analytics Business modeling Business process analysis and design, reengineering Business, service, and software ecosystems Enterprise, systems, and organizational architecture Evaluation, verification and validation Experience reports and case studies Evolution, adaptation, and system dynamics Formalizing or extending iStar 2.0 i* modeling techniques and metamodels: i* modeling concepts, variations and extensions Knowledge management Law and regulatory compliance Mobile and cloud requirements engineering Model analysis and contextual reasoning Networking or integration with other modeling languages or techniques Novel applications of i* Ontological foundations Requirements engineering Scalability and uncertainty in modeling Security requirements engineering, privacy, and trust Socio-technical systems Software engineering processes and organizations Strategy modeling and business model innovation Tools, visualization, and interaction Variability and personalization Workshop Format ------ The objective of the workshop is to share knowledge, stimulate discussion and foster new lines of research and collaboration among different groups. The program includes a keynote talk. If the schedule allows, we plan to include time for an interactive discussion in the program, in addition to the customary wrap-up session. Paper Submission instructions ----------------- We solicit one type of contribution: regular papers (6 pages max) in single column LNCS format. We invite you to include reports describing current and ongoing research work and or demo tools related to the i* framework, in English. Submissions should provide an overview of the research objectives and describe contributions, including any related tools and evaluation experience. Contributions should outline ongoing and future work and provide key references. In particular, tool papers should include references to download information, documentation, and system features. All submissions should be uploaded via EasyChair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=istar21. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and accepted works will be published in the CEUR Workshop Proceedings Series. We solicit one type of contribution: regular papers (6 pages max) in LNCS format, we invite to include reports on ongoing work and demos of tools.
