The Department of Computer Science at the University of Turin (Italy) is se=
eking a highly motivated candidate with a strong academic record for a PhD =
position as 36-month Marie Skodowska-Curie Early-Stage Researcher (ESR).  =


The ESR will investigate data-driven techniques for understanding complex d=
ynamical physical phenomena, such as epidemics, under the supervision of Pr=
ofessors Maria Luisa Sapino and Matteo Sereno, within the EC Horizon 2020 f=
unded European Training Network (ETN) EvoGamesPlus (www.evogamesplus.eu). E=
voGamesPlus comprises around 30 academic and industrial partners across the=
 world to host ESRs. During the PhD study, the ESR will spend time as visit=
ing researcher at partners in Italy, Spain, and the USA.

Eligible candidates must hold a two years Master=D5s Degree (ideally in Com=
puter Science or Computer Engineering) or an equivalent qualification. More=
 specifically at the start of that project, the candidates must be within 4=
 years of acquiring their relevant Master=D5s degree and cannot possess a d=
octorate. In addition, the candidate should not have lived in Italy for a t=
otal of more than one year during the past 3 years.

The expected start date of the 3-year position is  October 1st,  2021. The =
gross salary will be approximately 3.413,88 Euros/month, plus a mobility al=
lowance of 600 Euros/month and, if due, a family allowance of 500 Euros/mon=
th.
