All,
Following recent discussions on this list a new project has been created on
Sourceforge (https://sourceforge.net/projects/nxqd)
Our aim is essentially to explore a client-server database model using the
Sleepycat DB as an Apache module, and connect to it over SOAP using clients in
Java, C++, Perl etc. Eventual support is planned for the Xml:DB API for the
Java client.
If you would like to contribute as a developer, user, technical writer etc,
please send me a pm via my profile on SF
(https://sourceforge.net/users/webhiker/), with a short description of your
area of expertise, and we will consider adding you as a contributor.
We will shortly be starting discussions about workspace structure, build tools,
project roles etc on the SF forums.
I hope you will join us in our effort to extend the excellent Sleepycat DB.
