[bdbxml] XQuery Data Manipulation Language (DML)

Hi,

I realize that there isn't a formal definition of Data Manipulation
Language (DML) for XQuery yet, but...

I am in the process of writing a server that uses the BDB XML C++ API.
My server can load and execute XQuery 'scripts' that can query my DB.  I
now need to add scripting support to update, modify and delete data in
my DB.

-Has any work been done for DML with bdbxml?
-Has anyone implemented XUpdate on bdbxml?
-Are there any suggestions on how to start implementing this?
