[bdbxml] history and line editing in dbxml shell.

Hello,

I have a question regarding the dbxml shell. Great utility, but I can
not browse through the history list of commands or move the cursor on
the command line. I'll try to explain....

If you type in a command on the dbxml shell prompt and you make a small
mistake, you would like to get this command back, be able to make a
small change and execute again. To get the command back, the only way I
can do this is to use copy/paste, rather than using the "cursor up/down"
buttons to quickly step through a list of previous executed commands. If
I then paste a command on the prompt line, I can not use the "cursor
left/right" buttons to position the cursor somewhere on that line and
make a change. I can only use the backspace button removing everything
up to the point where I want to make a change. This all is a bit
painful.

So my questions:

Is the cursor up/down/left/right or any equivalent implemented?
If it is implemented, how can I activate it?

I am using various Linux distributions, but mainly Redhat Fedora Core 4.
