Having just changed the query expression to the 'addAppendStep' method
from
collection('System.bdbxml')/containers/container[name='1']/paramsearchco
nfig
to
/containers/container/paramsearchconfig
...the addAppendStep works! Does this suggest that the addAppendStep DB
XML API method cannot handle more complex xquery expressions, as opposed
simple xpath expressions?
