[bdbxml] Binding for PHP5

Hi,

I'm very interrested in Berkeley XML DB because I need a native XML 
Database to make a Framework in PHP5.

I downloaded the tarball, I read the documentation and I saw that it's 
possible to use Berkeley XML DB with PHP. But the syntax seems to be 
PHP4 like, and not PHP5.

Can I compile it as a PHP5 extension ?
