What is the error message, if you restore the backup into the MaxDB 7.6.00.37?

Hello,
I want to migrate from LinuxSUSE MaxDb-7.6.0.16 to Win2003Server  
MaxDb-7.6.00.37
When I make data backup on 7.6.0.16 engine and then I recover data to  
7.6.00.37 engine
an error occures during restore (it seems - diferent data backup file  
format).

Is there any easy way how to make this migration ??

When I update MaxDb, setup program asks me if I want to update DB instance  
too.
But I'm able to select only one DB instance during update.
What should I do when I have more then 1 DB instannces running ?
Is there some tool to migrate oter DB instance to current engine format ?
