MaxDB 7.6: like on long columns

I remember from a few years ago, I was told on this list, that the next MaxDB version (7.6) would allow to use like with long columns. When I try now something like: select * from egw_cal where cal_description like '%test%' * -7032: POS(29) SQL statement not allowed for column of data type LONG SQLSTATE: I7032 It seems not the case. Or do I have to cast the column to varchar before?
