Since this was brought up, I would like to be able to do a few "basic" tasks from a C program (actually from a Perl XM module, but it works the same): modify the values of fields in a database row, insert a row into a table, and delete a row from a table. Is there a reference anywhere on how to go about doing these (or are these even possible to do currently)? What is the command-line tool and where might I look in it for how they do these?
