Problem with odbc_connect using MDB Tools

Hi there

 

I have an error message when trying to connect to an MS Access .mdb file
located on my Linux web server. I get an error:

“Could not connect to the server; Could not connect to remote socket.”

 

I have set up a system DSN and I have included code to define the
libmdbodbc.so driver file.

 

I use the system DSN name I defined to connect thus:

 

$conAccess =odbc_connect (“MYDB”, “”, “”);

 

What should I do to get this to work?

OS:          Mandriva

PHP Ver.  5.0.4

Apache 2
