There is another advantage of Metakit over BSDDB, and that is the availability of subviews and tools for displaying and examining a Metakit database. I don't know of anything like KitViewer for BSDDB (if something exists, I'd love to have it). And there are times when you pretty much need to stuff some binary object in a BSDDB database that could be better done in a Metakit database -- or so it seems to me. -------------------------------------- Gary H.
